I developed this process organically out of my own desperate need. I've been a Type-A, driven-to-change-the-world kind of person my whole life. (I was elected to the Board of Directors of a national non-profit organization at the age of 24!) Whether I was working for others or self-employed, I was constantly pushing myself and achieving by giving 110%.
Of course, this pattern not only created a legacy of impact but also of overwork, stress, and burnout. It took a toll on my health, well-being, and relationships. In fact, there were times when I felt miserable and hopelessly stuck. I knew that something had to change and that's when I finally took control of my life and transformed the patterns I had been running most of my life.
In short, I began to integrate my decades of training in Chinese Medicine, meditation, and the Chinese energetic arts of Tai Chi and Qigong into my work. They were no longer just something I did in a class or during my snippets of "relaxation time." Instead, I found innovative ways to infuse the way I worked with the wisdom and principles of these ancient practices. Just as the martial art of Tai Chi creates power through the Yin (feminine) characteristics of softness, yielding and grounding, I found success, ease, and fulfillment through a new paradigm of Yin Power!
